Write
a trail of your life found between
ink stains, hurried, barely legible scratchings, misspellings,
and grammatical butchery.
what?
what's... that...there on that page...?
-here,
your first love leaving,
-there,
a birth of a child,
-somewhere else,
struggle for sanity...
writing for whom?
rereading the past
don't you know how it all
comes out?
hmmph, not until I
write the ending...
I love fountain pens...!
When I'm writing my prose/thoughts/therapeutic rants, I usually do so with a fountain pen- why? Because I love the feel of the nib on paper (
usually a Moleskine large sketch pad) I have several favorite pens, but my two most used are a
Pilot Vanishing Point and a vintage Keene Pen:
Of course what attracted me to it was the name: Keene as in Bob Keene!
The nib is a moderate flex, gives quite a different appearance depending on the amount of pressure exerted and the angle one holds it in. Holds quite alot of ink, good heft and well balanced. The Keene Pen company was located in NYC and went out of production sometime in the 40's or 50's I believe....
I began a serious relationship with fountain pens when I chose to purchase one for my 50th birthday... a bit of a landmark, and I wanted to write my journals with something special....
